Knight Falls (Poem)

I wrote a poem today. Guess who it refers to.

Before we met I'd never felt
A woman who made my heart melt,
A love so solid, pure and right
You said I was your knight of light.

But now you're gone nobility
Has left, the pain is killing me.
They say that ignorance is bliss;
But truth dictates bliss is amiss.

For though I crave normality,
The flower withers; clarity!
For now I know what I must do
In order to get over you:

Break down the pedestal of love,
Turn my back, my turtle dove;
This knight of light who once stood tall
Now turns to night as darkness falls.
